Go for it! And yeah, it's all duct tape and cardboard. Except the plastic viewports, the lights, and the gold paint. Oh, and some foam in the feet (which was a bad idea. They fell to one side and HUUUUURRRRRT)

I was actually thinking of using popped-out lenses from cheapo sunglasses for the eyeports, but I don't know if that would just make it even more difficult to see out of, especially with the LEDs. :[
Do you think it would be better to use an old pair of workboots to build the boots off of, instead of using mostly foam? I know how awful foam shoes can be...I made a pair for another costume and I had to trudge around a whole con in them as they slowly fell apart...and then rocks and dirt kept getting in. D:
Oh! And with the lights, how did you turn them on and off? Did you have some kind of switch in the helmet?
